PGL have released the for the Season 1 European division, which will kick off on Wednesday, August 26th. PGL Season 1 will feature a $110,000 prizepot, $85,000 of which will be handed to the LAN finals teams, with the remainder spread out across the online phase. Group A with TSM, Kinguin, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro kicks off tomorrow with the initial round. Group B featuring fnatic, Titan, dignitas and a team that is to be announced, as EnVyUs dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, starts on Sunday, August 30th.
All games in the regular group stage will be played at least in a best-of-three, the consolidation finals and the final for each group will be in a best-of-five. The winners of each group go directly to the offline finals. Afterwards, the last chance tournament will feature best-of-ones all accross, except for the best-of-three grand final. Second and third placed teams will be matched up against each other in the upper bracket, while the fourth will have to fight through the lower bracket.
